The interconnection of anticommunism and antiblackness is not about whether Black people like or dislike communism, but rather how anticommunism is a powerful technology of repression used to uphold white supremacy and Black subjection and, of course, racial capitalism.

In the power centers of the United States, specifically, it’s also important that the status quo of society is God’s will and plan, even tho one can scarce believe (and might ought doubt) the Black evangelicals at Ebenezer Baptist in Atlanta pray to the same god as the white evangelicals at Lakewood Church in Houston.
People will sometimes point to historical protests like “RACE MIXING IS COMMUNISM” to laugh at it, or they’ll mock Fox News for all of the things it supposedly erroneously calls communism, like healthcare that recognizes your inherent dignity rather than inherited wealth. But in truth, what those conservatives mean is they oppose anything that challenges the anti-Black white supremacy of capitalism. U.S. society cannot function without those workers doing much of the most essential, and therefore most exploited, labor.
That labor must always be as exploited as it’s possible to get away with, under the law or otherwise, to produce profit.
If people were paid their full value in the system of feeding people, there would be no profit left for the shareholders of the 10-11 companies that own all food (Nestle, Pepsi, KraftHeinz, etc.) If the domestic workers and home care workers, professional and otherwise, were paid their full value of freeing others from housework, child rearing, keeping adults alive — then the largely white men who depend on others’ labor in order to have time for the rest of their own lives would have nothing left over to purchase extravagances that distinguish themselves. We all have the same 24 hours, but in a system where most can’t get access to the resources to survive except by sacrificing most of their waking hours, a few vampires get to devour others’ time and feel like masters of the universe.
The United States needs racial capitalism to keep everyone “in their place” so those higher in the hierarchy can keep more of other people’s wealth and lives for themselves.
Therefore, in this economic system and attendant worldview, “communism” is any vision of a society where things improve for those that racial capitalism has guaranteed will be at the bottom, “communism” is anything that brings the lower closer to parity with the groups just above who fear losing the relative advantage and psychological wages of caste even when accompanied with their own absolute, material gains. Opposition to those improvements, including universal improvements, ensures there never is a world where people’s value is not stolen by others of a more privileged class, backed by the guns and clubs of the state.
