Rightfully, liberals find it very easy to notice (and laugh at) conservatives when they utilize slave imagery or yellow stars to compare themselves to persecuted Jewish people before and during the Shoah — particularly for such things as haircuts or mask-wearing during a deadly pandemic.
But the desire to cosplay as victims of one sort or another remains incredibly attractive to all sorts of white people, serving as imaginary separation from the ongoing white supremacist projects white liberals and leftists are willing to admit exist but not admit our full complicity with.
“Abortion will be made illegal in the US” is a statement true for white women of means, but for Black, Indigenous, and some people of color and some poor whites, the existing restrictions on reproductive care and their costs have already achieved this. Laws that allow prosecution of pregnant people for “endangering” a fetus are already being deployed — just not against white women of means.
