Plastic straws were invented to fill a need: a way for disabled people to be able to actually fucking eat and drink safely. The adoption of an accessibility device by ableds does not mean that it should be banned due to usage by those ableds.

It is unforgivable that we have told disabled people their ability to consume food and drinks ought to be sacrificed — particularly in public where there are typically the least accessibility accommodations available — so ableds can feel like they’re doing something to fight global warming.

We know what must be done (in Minecraft), and it doesn’t involve torturing disabled people. Just the opposite, unless we approach the future thinking how normal can live in it, not just the ableds, the norm will continue to be inaccessibility, cruelty, and mass deaths.
